Hill House Association names new leader
The nonprofit Hill House Association announced today it hired Victor A. Roque as president and CEO.
Roque, 63, of Hampton has served as interim president since the departure of Evan Frazier in January.
Roque was president of Duquesne Light Co. from 2001 until he retired in 2003. He previously served as vice chairman of the Hill House Association's board of directors. He is a member of the board of directors of Highmark Inc., and an independent board member of PNG Companies LLC, parent company of People's Natural Gas.
He is a former chairman of the Urban League of Pittsburgh and is a lifetime member of the NAACP. Roque earned an engineering degree from the City College of New York and a law degree from New York University.
The Hill House combines health, education and human service agencies under one roof, serving as an effective advocate for local residents who are seeking to improve their lives. Since its launch four decades ago, it's estimated that the Hill House has provided assistance to more than 500,000 children and adults
