Many area schools don't plan to open Monday

Pittsburgh Public Schools and many suburban districts will be closed tomorrow as workers continue to salt and plow snow-covered streets.

"A lot of side roads are still not done," said city school spokeswoman Ebony Pugh. "There are a lot of sidewalks with snow, and lot of students have to walk to school."

Other districts that already canceled classes for tomorrow include: Upper St. Clair, Mt. Lebanon, North Allegheny, Gateway, Plum, Bethel Park and Clairton City School District.

Check your school district's Web site for information about additional closings and delays throughout the day.

The Community College of Allegheny County canceled classes today and Monday.
