Third Thursday: Legendary

Price: $10 (Members: $8, Students: $5)

BOOM Concepts takes over the museum for a unique night of artist takeovers, tours, and dance.

Discover something new with a tour of the Carnegie International, which features ambitious new art from around the globe and our own backyard. Lead by our expert docents, this tour focuses on work by artists based in Pittsburgh (Thaddeus Mosley, Lenka Clayton, and Jon Rubin) as well as an artist who learned to draw at CMOA (Mel Bochner)!

Get inspired and join the conversation with Teenie Time. We’ll explore the work of the legendary Charles “Teenie” Harris who photographed Pittsburgh’s African American community from ca. 1935 to ca. 1975. Local Pittsburgh artists take inspiration from our Teenie Harris Archive to create poetry, painting, song, and more. Artists will present their work during a rousing show and tell full of conversation and community.

Get crafty with artist educators from The Andy Warhol Museum! Learn how to screenprint your very own pennant by hand. Supplies are provided and free of charge.

Dance with DJ Nate da Phat Barber in our grand Music Hall Foyer.
