More Summer Fun to Squeeze In

The weekend isn’t the absolute end of summer, but for many families, it feels like the final unofficial countdown. Kennywood continues its 2026 season beyond this weekend, so families don’t necessarily have to make Saturday or Sunday their final amusement-park visit.

And while the Allegheny County Summer Concert Series continues into the following weekend, this weekend’s free performances provide a strong final summer push — with the Tamburitzans Friday and Ballet Under the Stars Sunday. For families, the message is simple: before the backpacks come out and the school-night routines begin, there is still time to make one more summer memory.
